One of the favorite places frequented in the area of Bukit Jimbaran is the Garuda WisnuKencana or more popularly known as the pedestal (the same as President SusiloBambang Yudhoyono who is more famous for some ye SBY or ice).
The statue is located near Ungasan - Bukit Jimbaran Bali. Masterpiece Balinese artist, INyoman Nuarta. This area is planned to be developed as a park and a landmark forcultural tourism in Bali and Indonesia.
When we visit other tourist attractions such as Dreamland (Pecatu resorts) or Uluwatu,we will pass the GWK.
Hightlight of this tourist attraction is 2 statue, Vishnu statue and the statue of Garuda.The statue of the god Vishnu in the form of Hindu religion is the protector and guardiandeities, riding a Garuda bird. Taken from the story "garuda & kingdom" where a sense of devotion and sacrifice of the bird Garuda to save his mother from slavery andeventually protected by Lord Vishnu.
The statue was built with a height of 140 meters, is projected to bind with the spatialvisibility to 20 km so that it can be seen from Kuta, Sanur to Nusa Dua.
